Week 7: Room Model With Light Source/New Scale

Image
The model of my room was recreated using a scale of 1:50. A slanted roof was added to enhance the model. The model is quite open, meaning a large amount of light is able to enter the interior. I used a powerful flashlight to produce sharp, high contrast shadows.  Indoor Lighting The interior lighting was created from a small head torch which was placed inside the model. This form of lighting emulates a lit room at night. Interior Views The interior views show how the windows and open areas allow light to pass into the interior.

Week 7: Handmade 2.5D Model from Fusion 360

The model was made using cardboard with a paper-like surface. This material was effective in making flat surfaces and sharp corners. Fusion 360 Model from week 6. Each panel of the model was drawn to scale on a piece of paper-like cardboard. It took some time to create a components such that all the pieces were connected. Layout for the paper cutout The paper model was dry assembles before the tabs were glued. This was done to make sure all the components fit correctly. Creased paper cutout After checking that the layout was neat and positioned correctly, the tabs were glued.
